Spicy Egg Salad Recipe 

The Egg Salad Recipe is ideal for sandwiches or served on its alone as a great appetizer. It’s a cut over the rest due to the perfect balance of crunchy celery, apples, and shallot, topped with fluffy eggs and potatoes topped with fresh dill and fresh chives. 

All of it is held together with just the perfect amount of mayonnaise and mustard to make a fantastic dish!

Egg Salads Recipe is a summertime favorite for me. I love taking it with me on picnics, and this recipe makes the perfect egg salad sandwich! I sneak a potato in mine and it’s delicious! Very creamy and light on mayonnaise and so delicious.

What You Need For This Recipe

Eggs Extra large, or large eggs work great. It is possible to add eggs to the recipe If you’d like.

Apple My favorite is Honey Crisp apples but any sweet-tasting apple works well. I would suggest Granny Smith (too tart) or Red Delicious (too mealy).

Potatoes: Yukon Gold is delicious and creamy, but you can also use babies red potatoes.

Put the eggs in an ice bath and bring them to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes, after which you can remove the eggs. Add the potatoes, and cook until soft.

Peel the potatoes then cut them into smaller pieces.

Peel hardboiled eggs, then dice.

Cleanse and cut celery to thin strips.

The apple is peeled, slice the flesh off from the core, then chop. Chop chives and dill. Peel and chop shallot.
