  • 1 lb ground meat, 80-85%
  • 2 tablespoons oil Divided
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 4 cups green cabbage chopped, from 1/2 of a large head
  • One large carrot cut into slices
  • 1 celery rib thinly sliced
  • 28 OZ canned diced tomatoes with their juice
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • Four cups of beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt 1 tsp salt, or according to your taste
